Philipp Hubert and Sebastian Fischer, the founding partners of Hubert & Fischer, a design studio with offices in New York and Berlin, talk about their passion — book design. They met at the State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart, Germany, where they had access to the school’s book binding and printing facilities and designed their first books in collaboration with artists. Since then, their international clientele has grown to include museums, galleries, art foundations, and artists. They’ve designed award-winning books for publishers such as Phaidon, D.A.P., Edition Periferia, Hatje Cantz, Damiani, Rizzoli, Koenig Books and Other Criteria.
