Gemma O’Brien, one of the judges for the Communications Design competition, is an Australian artist specializing in lettering, illustration, and typography. Sahar Afshar, one of the judges for the Typeface Design competition, is a type designer and researcher from Iran.
The TDC annual competitions (TDC 64/Typography 39) highlight the best typographic work in both communication and typeface design from studios and individuals around the world.
