We are delighted to display the first solo show by designer and typographer Craig Ward; continuing his preoccupation with the juxtaposition of clean, classically designed typography with the chaos of natural processes and organic materials. Over a year in the making, the subject matter for the series are Pagan words and texts from the Old English dialects of 5th – 12th Century Britain, applied by hand to slabs of living edge wood using a centuries old arts and crafts technique known as pyrography.
