On a tour through his extensive portfolio of work, he reflects on taking hand-drawn images into the digital age, how fear of the demise of print has made this a great time to be a book designer, and the thrill he still gets from making marks appear on paper, whether image or letterform.

Neil Gower is an internationally acclaimed graphic artist, best known for his illustrated maps and book jackets. For over 30 years he as worked in a wide variety of media and styles, the one constant factor being a passion for combining image and letterform. Driven by this fascination, he has found a comfortable niche for hand-crafted, frequently lavish work to sit comfortably in the digital world. He was born in Wales and lives in Sussex, England with his wife and two sons.
