TDC Walking Tour: Dutch Kills to Astoria
June 1, 2014 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Astoria, Dutch Kills and Ravenswood. Three contiguous neighborhoods along the Queens waterfront across from Manhattan that have a mix of pre-1960s signage, churches with Art Deco lettering, lively graffiti, and funky vernacular. A perfect location for the next TDC lettering walk. These walks occur only twice a year and locations are never repeated. So, take this opportunity to see a blend of neon, enamel, metal, stone and painted lettering in a portion of the city that has not yet succumbed to luxury condominiums.
Paul Shaw has been leading lettering tours of New York City neighborhoods for 8 years and of other cities, both here and in Italy, since 1997.
