Everyone is invited to come to Bridgeport to celebrate the opening of the annual design exhibition at Shintaro Akatsu School of Design (SASD) on the University of Bridgeport campus.

The show features works by international designers who have been awarded Certificates of Excellence by the juries of TDC 62, the Type Directors Club international competitions for Communication Design and Type Design. The show celebrates typography in all its forms — handmade, machine made, traditional, avant-garde, display, text, poster and book; wayfinding and label; page, screen, cloth, and glass; small, and large, and in-between. Only the best are in TDC62.

Reception is free and open to the public. At the opening reception at SASD, Carol Wahler, the Type Directors Club executive director, and Karle Heine of creativeplacement.com, who is on the TDC Board and served as the co-chair of the TDC62 Communications Design competition, will be on hand to speak about the competition, the selected works, and the TDC.

The gallery is just a short ride from the Metro-North train station.
