Famed American graphic designer and writer Abbott Miller, a survey of whose work was published in a beautiful volume last year by Princeton Architectural Press, will join Maryland Institute College of Art digital design MFA director Ellen Lupton for an exciting conversation on typography today. They’ll discuss both their work, as well as Ellen’s acclaimed Graphic Design: The New Basics, which just received a makeover with new updates and revisions.

Rounding out the night’s discussion will be acclaimed designer and author Peter Mendelsund, whose book What We See When We Read was a San Francisco Chronicle and Kirkus Best Book of the Year in 2014, and type designer Tobias Frere-Jones.
