TDC Medalist Erik Spiekermann recollects creating fonts Apple in the 1980s, his aesthetic likes and dislikes, and what it’s like to see his fonts everywhere in public spaces – highways, trains, and airports. This talk was part of “Type Over Time: 70th Anniversary of the Type Directors Club,” a day-long celebration held at the SVA Theatre in New York City on March 10, 2017.
