InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Essentials: Snoozer to Power User!

December 7, 2013 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Do words like Clipping Group, Compound Paths, Adjustment Layers, Nested Styles, and the Appearance panel send shivers down your spine? Do you cringe when you hear successful designers talk about Glyphs, Curves, Levels, or Layer Comps? Do Smart Objects make you feel dumb? Does the word Mask sending you screaming from the room? If so, you’re a typical designer.

In this one-day intensive (but fun) workshop, Adobe Certified Expert and designer Scott Citron will pilot you through the treacherous waters of the Adobe Creative Suite. With a large can of Spackle in hand, Scott will teach you the essentials of these powerful design apps, and fill those gaping cracks in your software knowledge.

In addition to learning a slew of cool keyboard shortcuts, you’ll finally understand how to really use InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator like a pro. Does Acrobat scare you? We’ll cover that, too! This is the class you should have taken years ago but never did. So now’s your chance to fill in the blanks. Plug the holes. And learn more about Photoshop than your 14 year-old nephew. Before someone asks you how to use the Clone Stamp tool. You’ll be glad you did.

Requirements: A Mac or Windows laptop with any recent version (CS3 or later) of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro installed. Free 30-day demos of these programs can always be downloaded from Adobe.com if necessary. We will supply files to work with, but you’re encouraged to bring your own if you have images, graphics, or files you’d like to use for learning purposes.

This class is not intended for beginners, although beginners are of course welcome. Instead, the class is designed mostly for intermediate users who need to fill gaps in their knowledge of these essential design programs.
