I spy with my little eye …

Impression or expression? See or be seen? Identity or identical?

Clearly – reality is in the eye of the beholder. But without brain-eye-heart coordination, there is nothing to see. In other words: the smooth, mirror-like (outer) surface is just the beginning. And it reflects everything back to you. We each see something different.
But to be good at “I Spy”, you need to look beyond the obvious. You have to peer into your blind spots. Sometimes, the result broadens your horizons. The cliché that steps outside the box; the role model that turns iconoclast; the insight that embraces ego. This year’s TDC show engages with one of the key issues of our era: gender. Our exhibition explores questions of masculinity, femininity and difference.
